This Cookie Policy explains how the RMG family of entities ("RMG") uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on its websites. The controlling legal entity varies by brand — see the Entity Map in our Privacy Policy (AFM/RMG Music Group → RMG Music Group LLC; APUSA/RMG Universal → RMG Universal Brands LLC; Sextronica → Sextronica LLC; Drink Sonicated → Sonicated LLC). This Cookie Policy supplements that Privacy Policy.
A "cookie" is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar browser-side stores that hold a little bit of data while you use the site. We use the umbrella term "cookies" in this policy for all of them.
Cookies fall into a few buckets depending on (a) who sets them — first-party (us) or third-party (someone else's domain), (b) how long they last — session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept for a defined time), and (c) what they do — strictly necessary, functional, analytics, or advertising/targeting.
Today the RMG sites use only first-party storage that is strictly necessary for the features you ask for. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
| Site | Key | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sextronica.world | sxt_session (localStorage) |
First-party, strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in to your Sextronica member account | Persistent until logout or 30 days of inactivity |
| sextronica.world | sxt_member_name, sxt_bottle, sxt_tier (localStorage) |
First-party, strictly necessary | Personalizes the member UI | Same as sxt_session |
| sextronica.world | adult_verified (sessionStorage) |
First-party, strictly necessary | Records that you affirmed you are 18+ during this browser session | Session (cleared when you close the tab) |
| All sites | (cookies set by Stripe when you initiate a payment) | Third-party, strictly necessary | Stripe Checkout uses its own cookies on stripe.com to process your payment. See Stripe's Cookie Policy. | Per Stripe's policy |
That's it. No GA4, no GTM, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no TikTok Pixel, no Hotjar, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude. None.
Because everything we set today is "strictly necessary" for the feature you asked for, the EU ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)) does not require us to show a consent banner for these specific items. We disclose them in this policy and let you control them through your browser settings.
The moment any non-strictly-necessary tag is added to any RMG site (e.g., we add Cloudflare Web Analytics, Plausible, GA4, the Meta Pixel, or anything similar), this policy will be updated and a cookie consent banner will appear on first visit for users in jurisdictions that require one. The banner will:
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Steps vary slightly:
Blocking the storage items in the table above will break features (e.g., you'll be signed out of Sextronica), but won't otherwise harm the site.
We respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser. When we receive a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under CCPA/CPRA. Because we do not currently sell or share, this has no operational effect today, but the legal posture is honored.
We do not currently respond to legacy "Do Not Track" headers because there is no industry consensus on what to do with them.
When non-strictly-necessary cookies are added, the banner shall:
| Requirement | Implementation |
|---|---|
| Display on first visit from EU/UK/EEA/CH/BR IPs (Cloudflare can geo-target via Workers) | Cloudflare Worker reads cf.country and cf.continent and emits <script> flag |
| Default state | All non-strictly-necessary categories OFF until user clicks "Accept all" or a specific category toggle |
| "Reject all" button | Same size, same color contrast, same prominence as "Accept all" |
| Preference categories | Strictly Necessary (always on, disabled toggle) / Functional / Analytics / Marketing |
| Persistence | localStorage key rmg_cookie_consent_v1 with { choices, timestamp, version }. Re-prompt every 12 months or when categories change |
| Footer link | "Cookie settings" link in every site footer that reopens the banner |
| No "dark pattern" defaults | Pre-checked boxes for non-essential are not permitted (EDPB Guidelines 03/2022) |
| Tag firing | All non-strictly-necessary tags wrapped in a if (consent.analytics) { … } gate that re-evaluates when preferences change |
| Logging | We do not server-log the consent choice tied to a user identifier. The choice lives client-side only, unless the user is signed in and explicitly stored on their account |
A reference HTML/JS implementation will live in /RMG_Universal_Brands/_compliance/components/cookie-banner/ when analytics is added.
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we change what we set, what category it falls into, or how long it lasts. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
